Justin Ulysses Morse holds an RMS216 Folcrom over his head to impress nobody, a la John Cusack in Say Anything.

Makers of the original passive summing device

Analogue recording equipment from Minneapolis

Celebrating
20 years!

Roll Music Systems is based in Northeast Minneapolis, Minnesota. Co-founders Justin Ulysses Morse and John Sommer first met as art students and volunteers at the University of Minnesota’s student-run radio station, Radio K.

We started Roll Music as a recording studio in 1998, began building gear in 2001, and launched the RMS216 Folcrom as a commercial product in 2004. Twenty years later, we’re still dreaming up innovative gear to bring classic analog sound to your modern digital productions.
